Which HP ammo? Fed HydraShok or Win SXT?

Which of these rounds do you prefer and why? the 2 calibers I am looking into are .45s for my 1911 and 9mm for various carry guns. Or if you don't like either why?

ha thnx jeeper I was waiting for that one. They both seem to work fine in the guns I tried. So that is a non issue. The SXT remind me of the Ranger +P 230s I acquired but I've heard good things about both.

Hydrashock is an ancient round. Under performer. between the 2 SXT. I prefer HST

For 9mm and 45acp I prefer Speer Gold Dot and Federal HST.

Federal Hydrashok is not a bad round...but as mentioned earlier, it is an under-performer. The HST is the result of Hydrashok technology moving on. When shot through heavy clothing (winter coats), Hydrashok nose cones tend to plug up and not expand as it should. In the course of developing the HST, Federal removed the cone in the hollowpoint and cut expansion grooves which provides reliable expansion through all barriers in the FBI protocol. Federal basically re-invented Speer's Gold Dot.
