Which cartridge fits this bill...

I was wondering if someone with good knowledge of the vast array of cartridges and wildcats can answer this question: What (if any) current rifle cartridge or wildcat cartridge most closely matches this description:
Bullet weight: 110-126 gr.
Case capacity: 45 gr. H2O
Likely max powder charge: 37 gr.
Max COAL 2.600"
Bullet diameter: .264"

What closely fits that criteria if anything?

Certainly does!
I was learning about the 280 cartridge development along with the early FAL and how the US rejected it in favor of the 7.62X51 as a NATO standard.

Which got me to thinking... what about a cartridge sitting squarely in the middle of 308, and 5.56 in all respects? Hence the specs above.
6.5X47 Lapua looks like it is pretty much that. With a 120 gr. bullet moving at 2900 fps. interesting.

It's called a 250 Savage. Lol
Except for the aforementioned bullet diameter.
So your thinking of redooing the 6.5 CM, itself a redone 260 Rem, based on the 6.5X55.
I can understand wanting to do something, for the sake of wanting to do something.
But what actual purpose would said cartridge achieve?

just musings.., which cartridge is most squarely between 7.62X51 and 5.56X45 ...It appears that 6.5X47 Lapua is it.
And 250 Savage looks right tgere as well.
