Which ball powder for .308?

Which ball powder do you all like for the .308. So far the top on the list are BLc2, Win 748, 2460, and RL15. I think I am going to use Reloader 15 with a Sierra Game King 165 g. The rifle twist is 1:10. Opinions welcome!

Ramshot TAC or Big Game would be better then the offerings you have suggested. But, why does it have to be a ball powder? RL15 is not a ball powder but has a good rep for going through a powder measure dropping consistent charges.

WW748

Made a bunch of 308 ammo with many different bullets using WW748. There's an eight pound jug sitting on the bench right now. It's a great powder, and nothing I've used meters as well.
I still use Varget, which replaced RL-15, for my 308 target loads but these are not ball powders.
Take Care

I haven't shot NRA Highpower matches for a while, but when I did I got excellent results with AA 2520, Lake City match brass and 168g MatchKings.

Nice .308 powder

Hello123--Another powder: The .308 Win I load gets H 380 powder. Nice & accurate, works great, flows like water, meters wonderfully. What's not to like?

7.62 /.308 ball powder...

have used both WW748 (currently) and BLC2(previously) for over the course in both 7.62 and .30Cal.

Do we have a recommendation for each and every available ball powder yet?

My favorite is H335. Does well for me.

I am liking the way h335 is working in my 308's. (Plus it is THE powder in my 150gr. 30-30 loads, it works well in 223 and 444 marlin as well.)

Oh yeah- It meters nice too.

For my 308 I prefer H4895 and Reloader 15, but these are extruded.

If I am out of these two powders, I tend to use H335 for my 30-30 loads and can use H335 for 308 in a pinch. Case volume is a lot lower than with an extruded powder, so ignition can vary.

I prefer H4895.
