Where did the Cougar go?

I have recently been looking to buy a Beretta Cougar in 45acp, but I can't find one on the Beretta website. Has the gun been discontinued?

Yep. Either last year (2005) or late 2004 I believe. Probably some still floating around on the secondary markets.

Yes, the gun has been discontinued. I managed to pick up a second one from a local pawn shop for 400. Check around at some of the online auction sites and see what you can find. The actual model is the 8045 if you need the numbers to search.

The Academy Sports in and around Birmingham have 9's and 40's in stock all the time. You might find a 45 somewhere in the mix.

I think it was replaced by the PX4.

Actually, a bunch of them in 357 SIG went to the NC Highway Patrol and other agencies down here. I wonder how long it will be before they start showing up on CDNN?
