I picked up an older S&W model 36 revolver today from a friend who has had it for more than 25 years.
It's a 38 Special caliber with 2" barrel which is what I wanted but I just noticed that the front sight is narrower than the Model 37 Air Weight that I had purchased about 15 years ago. The front sight on the M36 is only about the half the thickness of that on my M37.
When did they make this change to the front sight?
