What's involved in a King conversion?

There's a S&W M&P for sale at a local gun shop that has an aftermarket sight rib, and adjustable rear sight, and is stamped 'King Conversion' (IIRC) on the frame.

What's a King Conversion? - is this simply the sights?

The shop owner didn't know much except that the revolver was used for BE.

King's offered a number of conversion options.

Among them were ribs on the barrel, adjustable sights, the famous King's "Cock-eyed" hammer that was widened on the left side for faster cocking in single action, and as I recall, a "short action" conversion to the trigger.

The gun in question could have any number of options.
