What's best?

Okay so I am wanting a night guard series S&W revolver. I know they make them in .45 acp and .44mag etc... But hypothetically if I were in front of a grizzly bear. Which is the best caliber choice amongst the night guard series?? Thanks.

The one that you can shoot rapidly and accurately.

If you can handle the 44, then it's the better choice.

I have the 329 Night Guard, in 44M.

Would take my chances with the 44mag,being it has twice the power of the 45ACP. But its hard say best handgun for a grizzly,Thats lots of Bear & not much gun.

Neither - you would seriously be better off with bear spray - easier to get the bear with that. When he is coming at you at 15 - 25 feet per second and his head is bobbing around as he runs, hitting him in the brain is going to be very hard to do.

From a pure power perspective, the 44 is better than a 45; from a stopping the bear so you can escape perspective, the spray is better

44 mag all day. If you cant handle that then look into the 10mm s&w.
