What year did Ithaca put a disconnector in the 37?

I have two that will not fire with the trigger held back --- 37147xxxx and 37153xxxxx both guns have a "disconnector".
The way Ithaca stopped the firing when the bolt was closed and trigger held back was to remove the second sear on the hammer. If the trigger is held back the hammer will follow the bolt forward as it closes.
The hammer was held back by the action release lever and released the hammer as the bolt came into battery. The release lever popped up preventing the bolt from moving back, at the sametime the hammer was released.
My serial number range indicates the guns were made in the first or second quarter of 1975.
Maybe someone has more information to add, I would also like to have more info.

The serial number range for 1973 is 371287501 to 371366000.
The serial number range for 1974 is 371366001 to 371453500.
If you could find a older hammer with the sear stud on the right side, it can be fitted with no problem. The slide stop on my 1975 has the noch still there for engaging the hammer.

Please note that the Model 37's are made with different frame sizes. Thus the 12 gauge is the largest and they get smaller with the gauge. That's one major reason for owning one as the 16 or 20 gauges make for one of the best handling upland game guns.
