what would you call a good 20 shot group at 25 yards

in my case it was a p229 357 sig 17 out of 20 were in

2.75 and i had to stop to clear the fog off of my glasses.i think i could do better with different sights.but it is my carry gun and i don't want to take the night sights off of it to check it out,thanks,keith

I would say, given those criteria and number of rounds, shot slow fire, including all fliers, 5" would be acceptable. 4" would be "quite acceptable" to "good", 3" would be "good" to "very good". Less than that would be outstanding. But then again, add an inch or two if you're not shooting a CZ75 like me. :)

I'm guessing with out the UltraDot, slow fire from a rest,, the group would be quite a bit better. But... with my old eyes, maybe not...

you didnt qualify the statement well is this with scope or laser sight. free hand fast or slow. with any scoped weapon it should be under 3 inches for good to great. if you are open sights more like 6-7 inches and bigger like a 9 inch plate if you are speed shooting.

i think i did do you carry a scope on your ccw gun.docter maybe most don't

shot from a rest with a self-defense pistol for under 1000 dollars,thanks,keith
