What scope for DPMS AP4 .308?

Recommend scope and mounts for my new DPMS AP4 .308 (16")

Mounts
1. Mounts that are quality with qaulity screws. (I need to see over the front sight)
2. Not too spendy.

Scope
1. Variable power starting at 2x would be nice. Up to 7x or more. (again, must be able to see over front sight....so if I need higher mounts with scope you recommend, let me know)
2. Small and light package but probably a 40mm objective.
3. $80 to $150 would be nice. Under $100 would be great if I can get qaulity for that price.
4. Also recommend what type of reticle you like on this type of firearm. (I will be using it to hunt elk/deer in low light conditions....moving targets, etc)

You don't need to see over the front sights.At any magnification over about 2.5X the front sight is invisible.You sort of see around it.I put a Burris Fullfield II Tactical scope (3 X 9-40) on my AP4 with Burris Xtreme rings.I am very happy with this setup.
