What is the max AOL for loading bullets for glock 22?

The book says 1.135" but mag size is probably fine. It will work, but as you get longer it makes it approach absolute nightmare to get the bullets in the mag. You never really notice how the business end of the bullet dips as you put a cartridge in till you load em long! Try em in the mag, and if they are too long you'll see what I mean.

As mentioned, magazines for the Glock will play a role in your OAL. I know of some who load out to 1.150 for the Glock but when I loaded for the .40 for my G22 I loaded them at 1.140 and they worked great.
Anywhere from 1.125 to 1.145 should be practical for the Glock .40.
Remember to start low on your loads for the .40 and work up. A chrono can be your best friend in times like these when planning loads.

Good luck :)
