What is a better/more reliable ammo-Lake City 308 or Federal American Eagle?

Natchez Shooters Supply has some Lake City 308 which I think is manufactured around 2002 for $220 a case of 500 vs their American Eagle for around $250. Does anyone know which ammo is higher quality. I was concerned about the laquered primers on the LC clogging the firing pin hole.

I'd say both. IIRC, LC ammunition is made under supervision by Federal, anyway.

However, if durability is a concern, LC brass has a reputation for durability and reliability.

Lake City is made to U.S.Mil-Spec, I can't remember if it's NATO Spec or not.. I doubt the Federal American Eagle is. hpg

I like Amer Eagle but it's kinda pricy.
I've bought close to 2500 rnds of Lake City over the last two years. The military brass is thicker too. I had no problem removing the mil crimp in the primer pocket for reloading either. I don't think it gets any better than LC.
