What ammo for Crickett .22LR rifle??

Just bought a used Crickett .22LR for my 8 year old (birthday). WOndering what ammo it prefers. I bought a box of Federals at Wal-Mart for <$12. Thoughts?

Each one is going to have a different apppetite.

My daughter's cricket shoots the cheap federal and Remington stuff great. Doesn't like CCI's a bit.....Go figure...

winchester wildcat and remington thunderbolts worked great in my dads cricket. nice 5 shot 1" group at 50 yards with the peep sights

You'll just have to try several brands and find what the rifle likes the best. One really good inexpensive, generally very accurate ammo, is the SK Standard Plus. You'll probably not be able to get it at Wal-mart though, you'll have to get it at a gun shop but have found that it shoots very well in several of my 22s.
