Weatherby Orion

My son is looking for an o/u shotgun and is interested in the Weatherby orion. Does anyone have any experience with this gun?

The older ones were made by SKB and are great guns. The newer ones are made by Fausti in Italy, IIRC, and are decent, but many prefer the SKB version where the action is based on the Merkel design.

I have owned a Weatherby/SKB Orion in 20 gauge for years. Very nice gun. Easy to carry. Shoots well. I took my first ruffed grouse with that gun.
