Wear area M1 Garand right receiver rail

Perhaps someone can tell me if the wear mark on my rt receiver rail is normal or not. See the attached picture.

Its a wear mwrk from the "NM" marked op rod. If you have the Kuhnhausen book of the M1 Garand and M!$/M1A, there should be a a missing relief cut on the early NM.
