Ways to straighten trigger guard

I was working on my SKS and the damn thing is so tough to get in that you need a c clamp to get the trigger group to clip into place. Unfortantly I couldn't find my regular clamp and I used a bigger one and all it did was bend in the trigger guard so far it stops operation of the trigger. After much cursing, cussing and stomping I finally got the trigger group in (had to straighten another part of it too that was bent at a 3-5 degree angle instead of straight I come to having to pull out the trigger guard about 5mm or so.

Whats the best tool I can use that will let me put some strength and pull the guard back out again? I got the basic tools and some electronic tools, though I am not sure the best way to go about it and don't want to mess up the trigger group anymore than I had done.

You don't pull it out. You use a light hammer and tap the bend out on a hunk of bar stock. Mind you, if it's that hard to get the rifle back together you may want to look into why.
