Thank you, that was timely, what with Pearl Harbor Day yesterday.

While I find the lyrics sometimes sappy and the rhyme construction iffy, the images are extremely poignant and touching. I've never been to war, but it staggers me to imagine if I had been on a battlefield in the hell that war truly is, at age 19!

It's one of those, "When will humanity learn not to put itself through this" kinds of things...
