I am curious to see if there are any P-22 owners that own the three inch barrelled gun that have purchased or tried the optional five inch barrel extention. Be interested in any comments.
I had the 5" and ditched it for the 3.4". Don't waste your money. The 5" is a pain to take down for cleaning and is constantly working loose. Not worth the trouble.
I have the 3.4 with the 5" extension. I used it a bit at first but havn't used it in a long time. It shoots so nice with the short barrel I see no reason to switch between them.
I will heed your advice. You would have to remove the extention prior to takedown. My 3 inch version shoots performs flawlessly and gets surprisingly good groups.
The latest edition of Gun Tests magazine gave the P-22 a grade of "A".
