I am currently looking at a Walther P99 as a possible duty weapon. Does anyone have any experience with this weapon. The Walther is in .40 cal.. Does anyone know how many rounds does the high cap. mag. in .40 carry? Any information on this weapon will be helpful. (I've checked the library and did not find much.)

The hi-cap mag for P99 is 12-rd for 40SW and 16-rd in 9mm. I have owned both and have just recently parted with the P99 in 9mm. Neither gun is 100% reliable with factory ammo. I would definitely recommend a Glock over Walter. The Walter does have good grips, the decocker and other nice features. But it's not reliable enough to bet your life on it.
