Walther G22......&

I don't know how Walther gets away with charging premium $$$ for generally inferior products.

Walther doesn't make the G22.

Umarex makes it and slaps the "Walther, Ulm" name on for marketing purposes.

Walther makes super-high-quality service pistols (P99, PPQ, and PPS) and high-quality Olympic-style target pistols (GSP). These are all designed by Walther and manufactured in the Walther factory in Ulm, Germany

Umarex designs and makes low-quality potmetal guns (P22, SP22, PK380, G22, and a slew of other lower-quality guns sold under many different brand names) at the Umarex factory outside of Cologne, Germany,

The easy way to know who made the gun is to look at the proofmark. If it carries the "staghorn" proofmark, it is a real Walther made and proofed in Ulm. If it carries the "sheild with three crowns" proofmark, it is an Umarex product.
