Value of a Perazzi TM1

What would be the approximate retail value of Perazzi TM1? A guy was trying to interest me in one today that he said was on consignment for $2k but he would take $1500. I went to check it out at the lgs where it was consigned and the gun had sold unknown to the guy who was selling it for his friend's estate.

Is it even a Perazzi? I see one on line and it appears that the gun may be an Ithaca import or that only the barrel is by Perazzi. I can't tell.

What's the value of an Italian canoe paddle.....( Just kidding Zippy ) ....:D

I have no idea what its worth ..../ just couldn't resist a smart alek remark before I go home....

Oh well. It would have only gotten me in trouble, more trouble is more accurate. As is my wife had a little difficulty with my spending a few hundred on modifications to my O/U.

Now that I think of it, a guy shot with us two weeks ago that hadn't shot in 17 years. He had a single barrel Ithaca trap gun that supposedly was something special. I didn't pay a lot of attention at the time, but I had the feeling he may want to sell it. I will keep an eye out for him and it.

Yep, and I blew it years ago - saw a nice Ithaca trap gun at a local gun show, was all set to buy it because I knew the name Ithaca (this was WAY before Al's Internet). Then I saw "Made in Italy" and I passed on it............passed on a Perazzi/Fabbri made for Ithaca Italian gun

I wonder how much those books cost that give values for different guns and if I can get one to keep in the car along with my copy of the Book of Slugo. The one thing I noticed about the old Ithaca this guy was showing me a couple of Saturdays ago was it felt loose, but compared to my 10,000 shot Browning anything may feel loose. I will ask someone at Prado who should know to explain what to look for in older guns. The best thing would be if they had some examples.

Not to answer my own question, is this what I am talking about and is it any good?
