USP variant swap

I have read that HK "variants" are capable of being swapped out easily. Mine is a variant 3 ( right hand version, decocker only). I would like to switch mine to Var. 1, so that the manual of arms is closer to that of my 1911 and witness pistols. Where can one find the parts to facilitate such a thing?

Send it to H&K and have them do it. You'll get to keep your warranty that way. You could also buy the kit from them I suppose.

Try posting here. They have a sub-forum dedicated to customer service questions like this one, and are usually helpful. The forum is a little slower than most, but they will answer.

Check at www.hkpro.com. They have a very helpful website that details how to do simple work on HK's. I had to change my USP-.45 compact from a variant 1 to a left handed variant- it's really a simple procedure once you have the parts on hand. Give it a try.
