Just saw something in one of those Cowboy mags that USFA has gotten the rights to put the Remington name on replica revolvers. They will be making the 1858 and the 1875 cartridge revolver. The ones pictured look alot nicer finished than the Italians. They are gonna supposedly be US made not Italian parts guns? and the prices will reflect that. I don't know why Remmy did not ever jump on the legacy bandwagon very much. I would think that especially the 1875 type would sell really well to Cowboy fanatics and Rem could have gotten a piece of that pie that goes to Colt, the clones, and Ruger. I even wrote them about that once. Heck they could have taken good quality Italians in the white, finished and stamped them here, and taken a big mark up just on the name. Like Colt 2nd Gen BP. Well USFA will probably pay a little bit for each gun to big green, and scoop the profits themselves now.
