Urgent "crush fit" info

It seems some in the (break action) in-line world are adjusting their firing pin bushings for a "crush fit" (tighter headspace). There have been two instances reported with CVA's where the rifle discharged upon closing. The bushings had been adjusted a few thousandths (too much) to help seat the 209 in the breech plug more tightly. This helped keep the breech cleaner with less gasses escaping. Problem being, a touch too much and the 209 fires when the break action is closed.

DO NOT DO THIS!!!

CVA has a shim kit for this in the event your FP bushing is recessed.

If you remove the firing pin assembly and bushing for any reason in ANY in-line, MAKE SURE it is back to factory spec's before loading/firing.
