Underwood 45 acp Exteme Defender Ammo

Has anyone here used this ammo in their pistols?

Came across it while looking at other 45 acp and 40 S&W ammo from Underwood. I used several calibers of Underwood for SD.

Once I saw it I started checking it out.

It "seems" to be top notch stuff. Does not appear to be gimmick stuff.

I have been indoctrinated into the 45 acp being a big heavy round so 120 grain 45 acp catches my attention.

What do you folks think about it? Also 40 S&W at 115 grains?

Thanks

I have also been interested in this stuff. Although I want the new 65 grain 9 mm for my carbine.

One of my customers just picked up an assortment of Underwood ammo. It appears to be accurate. Can't speak to the "devastating permanent wound channel" claim of theirs, but it is accurate.

Shot/used a lot of Xtreme Defender design in 9mm and .380..youtube has lots of tests using. Only bad news, IMHO, is it's expensive($1.20 or so per round)...

No reason to think the other calibers wouldn't be as effective BUT, IMHO, a good round for shorter barrel HGs, where JHP performance might be effected(as in poor expansion)...

I've been using those same Lehigh Defense bullets in my .357 Sig hand loads for woods carry and have found them to be quite accurate. Same for 9MM.
I see Black Hills is now offering ammo loaded with these bullets too. They call it the Honey Badger line.
