LOL Yah, the thought crosses the mind every once in a great while. So when I go outside to smoke the pipe in the evening I make a deliberate gesture in a random direction every once in a while 
That way if they're watching, they'll have something new to wonder about. Maybe I should wear a tinfoil hat tonight when I go out to have a smoke before bed!
Seriously? Naw... Not really. I figure someone has to be deathly bored to waste any time watching me. There ain't enough coffee or twinkies in town to keep someone conscious and alert with my normal day-to-day stuff.

I would hope those doing the watching would be keeping there eyes on the bad guys and not us law abiding citizens.

LOL. But seriously, I wonder how many of our lives are being invaded behind our backs because of the patriot act and things like ESHULON. Maybe the feds will take this thread and turn it into "Boy I just love being spied on by my government. I think it's great!"

I'm glad we can have a good time with this, but the consequences are real. With the National I.D. card coming and the Patriot Act already in place, it feels like our government is poised to take complete control over us. It's a scary situation which few understand or give a damn for that matter.

Anyone who doesn't consider the government with a certain level of scrutiny is either extremely naive, or just plain stupid. Our founding fathers didn't even trust the government--which is exactly why they designed it to have checks and balances by the governed--AKA you and me. That, however, has gone by the wayside for the most part. No need to point out specifics on this one. I think most everyone who thinks about it for a moment will admit they don't really know much of the underlying functions the government is involved with, and those that do aren't going to advertise. Does this mean there is a conspiracy involved to take over the world? Who knows. I kinda think there are some underlying events going on that have been in motion for a long time that aren't meant to benefit the general public. Again, individual speculation. Me? I can walk into the wilderness with nothing more than what I'm wearing and have a good chance at survival. I'm familiar with a lot of the "old world" methods of doing things without modern convenience--from iron smelting, steel making and forging, stone cutting, and logging, to farming, animal husbandry, cheese making, milling, baking, brewing, etc...They're really just a broad mix of fun hobbies. But if I had to rely on them, I could. That's all the answer I'm putting here for the moment.

What would they find out by watching this forum? That I'm a right wing gun nut? They should already know that much since I had to be fingerprinted to get my license and they call in a background check every time I buy a new gun.

Well, it IS still pretty early on a weekend...
I'd say they're sleeping in. Give 'em a chance to putter around a little, and get that first cup of coffee down. I'm pretty sure we'll see the lock in no time at all.In the mean time...
