Just thought I'd post something fun, what are your choices for the following "Ultimate" categories?

1. Ultimate CCW Handgun;
-Concealable, Reliable, Powerful...What's your vote?

2. Ultimate Combat Revolver;
-When the SHTF and you are in the mud and the blood and the beer what revolver would you jerk out and use to make your final stand with?

3. Ultimate .22LR;
-Could be a revolver, rifle or semi...What's your favorite .22LR?

4. Ultimate Battle Rifle;
Red Dawn! The enemy has invaded our homeland and the call goes out for every able-bodied man to get armed and mobilize. What rifle are you taking behind your particular blade of grass?

5. Ultimate Home Defense;
You wake up to the sound of glass breaking downstairs in the middle of the night. What do you reach for to enforce the castle doctrine?

6. Ultimate "Utility" firearm;
In lieu of a "survival firearm" category, I thought this would be a good substitute. There are too many different survival scenarios to declare just one firearm for, so which do you think provides greatest utility overall?

7. Ultimate Trail/Backwoods Handgun;
Whether you're working in the back 40, bowhunting the deep wilderness or just taking a leisurely hike down a trail what do you want on your side?

1. Ultimate CCW Handgun;
Colt 1911 Commander, 4" barrel, aluminum frame. Big enough caliber, small enough package, heavy enough to control, light enough to wear all day.

2. Ultimate Combat Revolver;
Smith & Wesson 625 .45acp pre-lock.

3. Ultimate .22LR;
CZ452 Rifle

4. Ultimate Battle Rifle;
M14, stock irons, 22" length barrel.

5. Ultimate Home Defense;
Any revolver chambered for a low pressure round that flings ashtrays. 44 special, 45acp, 45Colt or even custom lite-loaded 480ruger or 500's that you can shoot quickly and have light sectional density. Out of everything I've personally shot, a 4" Redhawk with 200gr 44special loads.

6. Ultimate "Utility" firearm;
A 6" .357 revolver. Ruger GP100 or Smith 686, stainless. It outpaces a 44 for broad utility due to the fact that you can harvest a rabbit and still leave it edible with a light .38 wadcutter, whereas a 44 makes that much more difficult.

7. Ultimate Trail/Backwoods Handgun;
I want a 44magnum revolver with loads powerful enough for game and predators in my neighborhood, but light enough I can snap-shoot 2 or more rounds at any 2-legged problems that might come up. My solution is a 4" Redhawk with 240gr LSWC bullets moving at a fairly leisurely 1200fps. A smith 29/629 or Taurus 444 also could fill the bill.
