I recently purchased a Uberti 1866 short rifle, and was trying to figure out and understand the standard factory rear sight configuration (mounted in front of the receiver). It can be rotated up 90 degrees from a folded down position to give two additional aiming options for the range to the target. Can anyone give details on the use of this rear sight?
