Tubb's 2000T

I haven't had such a feeling of unadulterated visceral lust in years:)

Steve Malloy's June 2002 article & review on this David Tubb/Rock McMillan collaborative rifle was superlative.

Oh my!

After flipping through the pages, I zoomed in on Clint Smith's article on vintage sniper rifles. His observation that lessons were forgotten has been oft repeated (hey, we forgot after WWI, WWI, Korea and for a while after 'Nam) and that we send our snipers out with inadequate equipment (true in WW I and WW II) holds true.

There was one slight error in the identifying of the Lyman Alaskan (or M81/M82) as a Weaver 330C (M73B1).

I want the Tubb. :)

I'm curious though, and the article doesn't say, but the rifle accepts 20 round mags? Are they M14 magazines?

That rifle was just bad. For that rifle, I'd get a membership at ORSA and become a complete range bum.

I've wanted one since Gale McMillan showed it to me at Shot 2000. Thats the only rifle that I still CLEARLY remember.
