I've always been a fan of ACOGs since I first picked one up. They have great glass, usable reticles, and are built like tanks. One thing that always made me wonder though is why people seem to gravitate to the 4x or 3.5x models. Not that there's anything wrong with those (in fact, there's a lot right with them) models but most shooters I know set their rifles up primarily for defensive or home defense use and at those distances the 1-3x range of magnification does very well.

Here are some basic specs on this optic:

Objective Size (mm) 24mm
Length (in) 5.8 in. / 147mm
Weight (oz) 6.3 oz. / 179.1g
Illumination Source Fiber Optics & Tritium
Eye Relief (in) 3.6 in. / 91.4mm
Exit Pupil (mm) 0.63 in. / 16.0mm
Field of View (Degrees) 4.9°
Field of View @ 100 yards (ft) 25.6 ft. / 8.6m
Adjustment @ 100 yards (clicks/in) 2 clicks/in or 1/2'' MOA
Housing Material: Forged Aluminum

The price on these will vary from the $900-1100 price range which is the big downside of this optic for sure but there are a lot of positives for sure. Here's my full review of the TA-45:
