Traded my titanium for scandium. Good deal?

I traded my slightly used S&W model 342ti (the totally enclosed hammer, .38 +P, silver colored, titanium j-frame) for the same gun in Scandium (exact same thing, NIB, but shoots .357). I paid $200 bucks out the door for the trade, plus $5 for the background check. I think I did alright. Did I?

The scandium part...

..is the frame, right? The cylinder is still titanium. Is that the way it goes?

Hmmm......MSR on the 342 is $748, add $205 = $953 fpr Scandium. Interesting.

I wish I could have sold my 342ti for MSR. I paid 520 for it new. The new scandiums were running 600 at the gun show, though I saw them as low as 565 on the net (plus shipping, transfer fees, etc.). I also credit myself for saving some sales tax.
