Took the plunge, 342PD

The 342PD is a fine revolver. It weighs so little that I could hardly believe mine is comfortable to shoot with standard pressure cartridges, and still manageable with +Ps. I think the Hogue Bantam grips help a lot.

Anyway, congrats on the purchase. :)

The 342pd is my bug. So light, I forget it is there. Being so light it has different characteristics when firing. Be sure and try some different loads at the range to learn the guns characteristics. I am using 110gr Winchester JHP silvertips or 125 gr +p brass jhp Remington Golden Saber. Super gun, though I see a lot of folks buy, then get rid of very quickly cause they don't like it's recoil characteristics. Or they think it is a gun for plinking.

Put 200rds of 130gr ball through it last night. Shot it with just the Barami-Hip Grip. It does kick. But not much worse than my 642LS. I love it. It's a winner.
