Timney Trigger for Savage

I like my hunting triggers to be around 4lbs. The timney advertises up to 3 lbs. Does anyone know if that's accurate or is it possible to get up closer to 3.5, 4?

From what I gather, an accutrigger cannot be made to work without some milling. And I've looked at Jard, Rifle Basix, and Timney- sho nuff, nobody seems to make one (that I can find) that goes above 3lbs. That's kind of messed up.

I have a rifle basix that I put on years ago. It was light and crisp until the part that the sear catches on rounded off after not many shots. I readjusted it so it was safe to use and have just put up with it ever since. I dont plan to use them again. That's my precision rifle, a Timney would be good to go since I had that at about 2lbs. I was fairly surprised also to find there were no triggers that went a little higher.. there are so many of these older Savages floating around that people use for hunting.
