I'd never heard of them in anything except 7.62 and .32

They also had them in 7.5mm.

They were never regarded as exceptionally powerful as they were, one made in .22 seems a bit silly.

The Russians reworked some of them for target competition. Sorta makes sense that they'd have experimented with .22
