Think a shotgun would be OK to take to Canada?

I'm planning a trip and thinking of taking my coach gun as it would not be a handgun and would still handle anything that walks in NA.

Will Canada allow a shotgun?

Canada will allow guns for hunting or recognized sporting events. You will have to get the necessary permissions well in advance.

Weapons for self protection are right out.

But...

And don't forget who until recently held the longest unclassified long range confirmed sniper kill, Canadian Corporal Rob Furlong, at 1.5 miles.

Also do not talk bad of hockey! Canada loves hockey and beer, I mean just look at their $5 bill. :)

...who used an American-made Tac-50 rifle.:p

Took him three shots too.

Yeah -- shooting across a mountain gorge in a stiff but variable cross wind.

I know it would have taken me more than three shots, and I suspect it might have taken you a few more, as well.

He made the shot -- I'll give him credit for it.

I used to buy coffee at Starbucks when it first opened. They didn't sell latte`s then.

Once the price for a pound went over $4 I found a less expensive alternative.

Oh and to Lavan, please remember...per capita we are as well armed as most Americans.:p

I think we should quit in Afghanistan and go take Canada.

They got oil and stuff.

If you think the AK wielding peasants in Afghanistan are giving too much grief you do not want to mess with the Saskatchewan farm boys. US troops crossing the 49th parallel might cause a "rifle behind every blade of grass" type scenario.

I hunt with some guys from Iowa who come up here to shoot geese and they can bring firearms but they have a hunting license and a purpose for bringing their shotguns (no rifles for them either, just shottys)

I don't know, Jseime, once we cut their taxes by 50-60%, and restored gun ownership without undue restriction they might welcome our intervention. While we are at it, lets take Mexico.:D
