I heard the same thing myself Dan. I went out and bought a new one. Unfortunately it comes with a trigger lock but so far that hasn't been a problem. If it does really start to bother me I'll remove it.

The Model 66 is so plentiful on the used market that I wouldn't go nuts ordering. This one was about $250 used.

You are quite right. I just like to buy a new gun now and then to add to the supply. I think it's important here (Australia,) probably not as important in America.

Try to find a bargain in a 66 no dash or 66-1.These are pinned and recessed.These babies are gonna be going up,up,up...

The model 66 has been replaced by the model 620. They changed from the K frame to the L frame. There were supposed problems with the strength of the K frame for shooting magnum loads.
