The Shroud's a'Turnin'

(Actually, the shroud isn't turning, it's moving forward, but I couldn't resist the bad pun.)

I have a Charter Arms Bulldog Pug in .44 Spl. I bought used that I just had a chance to fire today. It's a decent little gun that will fill its intended purpose (fairly close self protection). I have one question though, I noticed while firing 25 rounds through it (it's a light gun, consequently it's a chore to shoot) that the barrel shroud moved forward about 1/16". Of course, I know CA does not have a reputation for quality, at least in its later years, but have any of you ever heard of this before? The gun still seems to function fine, and I doubt I will shoot it more than occasionally, its real role being that of a truck gun.

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.
