The gritty bolt lug channel in the Maadi AK...normal?

In clear contrast, the channels feel very smooth on both new Saiga rifles (.223, 7.62x39). They came with the original boxes in February: manuals, yellowish plastic bags etc.

The Maadi 'ARM's (Knox Importers) bolt movement is not as smooth, and the channel or 'race' has a gritty feel when manually moving the bolt's lug through it, even though I keep a little B. Casey Gun Grease in it, and on the rails. 350-400 consecutive rds. of perfect operation.

The rifle's wear seems fairly moderate, but is this gritty feel moving the bolt considered normal for fairly limited wear? It appears that at one time there had been some paint or bluing in the channel. Possibly dirt had gotten in it, or a dork used a tool...

Curious about longer-term dependability., even though mine Is an Egyptian Maadi "ARM", after watching "Rob-Ski's" Youtube video of his new Century RAS AK-47, and accelerated wear on internal components after the 1,000-rd. point, then at 5,000:eek:....on the "AK Operators' Union" Channel.
