the forgotten holiday

The 236th anniversary of "The Shot Heard Round the World" is fast approaching- How will YOU commemorate it? Sitting on the couch, watching American Idol reruns? Or will you be one of thousands of Americans, standing on the firing line, learning the marksmanship skills that helped wrest this country from the bonds of tyranny?

On April 16th and 17th, Project Appleseed will be hosting a celebration of American Freedom at a rifle range near you. These Florida events, along with hundreds of other similar events nationwide, will feature a coordinated "Volley For Liberty"- with thousands of Americans nationwide firing thirteen rounds, all at the same time- a simple act of honoring the original 13 colonies.

Join your fellow Americans in commemorating the sacrifices made on
April 19th, 1775

These classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels.
(recommended for ages 10+, though younger students with a great attitude are welcome)

Women pay only a modest $10 registration fee, for two full days of instruction.
Responsible persons under 21 pay only $5.
Adult men pay $80.
Military, Law Enforcement, and Elected Officials attend for free.
(Range fee's may be charged by the host facility, and are the students responsibility)
(Adult men- save $10 by pre-registering online!)

And don't forget...San Jacinto Day is on April 21, and this year marks the 175th anniversary of that event.

Why is there such a huge discrepancy in registration prices? I can see a price break for kids, but $80 for men vs. $10 for women?

women and kids used to be free. The price difference is there to encourage women and children to attend. Leo's, active and retired military, and disabled are free

Why not make it $10 to encourage men to come geeze...

$70 price difference?:barf:

I guess there are women trying to get us back for their more expensive haircuts...

The way for the guys to go is the new "Rifleman Opportunity Card". Pre-register for a 2-day event and pay $20 more for a RWVA membership card, then you have up to ONE YEAR to qualify at an Appleseed Shoot.

Sure wish they'd the the ROC when I was trying to qualify...would've save me $120.!
