Hello all, I'm the FNG. Fckn New Guy. I was in the Army Reserve for 1 1/2 years and now in my second year of Active Duty. To be honest, i'd never even shot a firearm until they slapped an m-16 in my hand. Finally 3 weeks ago while on leave I picked up my first privately owned weapon. I'm resident of Illinois and headed to Alaska, so I picked up a Remington 700 BDL. 300 win mag (beautiful rifle) while i'm here in Illinois. My main question is that when I go to Alaska, can I buy some more rifles/shotguns while i'm stationed there withouth a FFL?

A copy of your orders stationing you in Alaska, plus a military ID, will get you guns in Alaska.
