Ted Williams model 100 peep sight options

Can anyone tell me if these are already drilled and tapped for a receiver sight? I picked one up a couple days ago, and would like to add one. There are some screws on the left side of the receiver that look like they are in the pattern a sight would require.

TIA,

XLT

Yep, they're post-64 Winchester 94's, altered to Sear's specs - so any side-mounted receiver sight for the top-eject Winchester 94 will fit.

thanks for the confirmation, it looked to be the case, but this is my first levergun, so I wanted to be sure :).

I bought on of those many years ago when all 30-30 lever guns sold for $100. The one I had came with nice walnut and didn't have a mark on it.

I let my BIL talk me out of it for what I paid for it. He also "borrowed" a Willisms 5D peep from me to go on it. Twenty something years later and he is still borrowing it.

This one has a bit of speckling on the receiver, but bore is bright and shiny. Good shooter, with excellent looking walnut stock for it's age. My wife might be "borrowing" this one, but that's about as far as it will get. Every bit as nice as my FIL's Winchester branded 94, but I paid 1/2 or less of what I see those going for these days. :D

XLT you can get a side mount that lets you add a scope to your gun. They look sorta strange but they work. I don't like them myself. It sort of defeats the handy feel they have. I have two of them in my Box O Parts I have removed.

Glad you got something you may be able to find ammo for.

yeah, I have seen those and even used one a couple times on a borrowed gun. Think I'm going the peep sight route with this one, and that's probably all it will wear.

I was pleased to find ammo still plentiful and comparatively cheap, as my AK's and AR are waiting until I can replace my ammo store as it is used up.

Yep a peep is you need and even the supplied factory sights work just fine. If you get one the Lyman peep looks better and is easier to adjust than a 5D sight.
