What do I need to or can I buy to end up with a TC Encore .444 Marlin rifle with a brake on it?

Not sure what all swaps back and forth.

Can I buy any Encore action, pistol, shotgun or rifle and then buy a barrel?

Not sure what swaps and how hard it is to swap a stock or to come up with a forearm , stock or whatever

Thanks

I used to own a TC Encore. Bought it as a 12 guage shotgun. Bought a 223 barrel for it. Had to also buy a new forearm for the 223. That is all i know.

If the outside barrel diameter is significantly different from the barrel you have on the gun, you may have to get an different fore-end for that barrel.

Other than that, any Encore barrel should work on any Encore.

From a legal standpoint, you do want to make sure you don't run afoul of NFA laws

Encore prices have shot up significantly, so be prepared to spend well over $1K to put together a .444 Marlin rifle. Expect to spend $600 for a blued reciever, and over $700 for stainless. Stock sets will be at least $150 for a basic buttstock and forearm. Then you're looking $400+ to have a barrel made.

I'd buy a CVA Scout for less than $500 if I had to have a .444 Marlin.
