Taurus Tracker / Charter Arms Pathfinder?

Hi all. I posted this elsewhere as well.
I am in the market for a .22LR revolver. Price point for me is under $400, so the S&W 617 is out. The Taurus model 94 is out as well, due to all of the issues I have read about.
I THINK I have it narrowed down to either the Taurus Tracker or the Charter Arms Pathfinder.....both in SS with 4" (or under) barrel. Does anyone own either the Tracker or Pathfinder, or do you have other recommendations? Thanks!

I would go for the Charter Arms pathfinder,,,

Taurus revolvers can be good guns,,,
But the operative word is can.

If you get a good one from the factory,,,
You will have a good gun forever.

If you get a bad one from the factory,,,
Chances are you will never have a good gun.

My lady friend has had a Charter undercover in .38 for two years,,,
It's not the classiest revolver out there but it has performed flawlessly.

She recently purchased a Charter Pathfinder in .22 LR as a companion gun,,,
It performes very well for her and the trigger just keeps getting better.

I had a 50/50 experience with Taurus revolvers,,,
The 4" 990 was good right out of the box,,,
But it was heavy with a bad trigger,,,
On okay gun but not a great one.

The 6" 970 Tracker had a problem right out of the box,,,
After a 6 week trip to their warranty center,,,
It worked but never quite correctly.

To get it sighted on target at 50 yards,,,
I had to run the sight all the way over to the left.

I just sold the both of them off a few weeks ago,,,
I honestly like my lady friend's Charter revolvers better.

Just my not-so-humble opinion,,,

Disregard. Turns out neither of the guns I was looking at is approved for sale in The People's Republic of Kalifornia.

Ruger single six or the Heritage Roughrider?
I'd go with the Ruger but the Heritage is less than $200. The only thing I don't like about the Heritage is the safety. Other than that they are a good gun for a good price.
I have no idea if they are legal in California.
