How loose is too loose for cylinder sideplay for this? How about endshake.
It's a 454.
Taurus USA's repair department won't tell me what the specs are. Lot of help they were. I didn't want to send it in only to find it will just come back to me the same.
Thinkin about paying a gunsmith to work it. I'm told Taurus won't sell parts. So he may not be able to fix the sideplay, just the endshake.
What to do?
I hate to think I got a lemon. The cylinder sideplay must be at least 0.030. Maybe more. It moves so much, everybody I showed it to said it looks terrible. At $1 a round, it hasn't been fired that much.
