Talley Base/ring combo?

I just bought a Tikka T3 lite (30-06), I'm going to top it with a Leupold VXII Ultralight 3-9 x 33mm. I ordered some Talley Lightweight 2-piece scope mounts/rings. Has anybody tried this mounting option? I plan to lap the rings to (hopefully) get a straigt alignment as there is no windage adjustment in the base like the Leupold bases I'm use too. Also, has anybody lapped aluminum rings? Thanks.

I use Talleys on my Howas and they are very good. But I much prefer DedNutz for my Tikka. It's just a better mounting system for anyplace that you can get away with a 1 piece system.

Are those Talleys high, medium or low? Thanks for the reply and photos.

Those Talleys are low. The scope is only a 2-8x32 and clearance was obviously not an issue with that rifle.
