I go to the car swaps as it's my other hobby. A while back I picked up a Ransom rest for $20 !! Just setting on the ground with a bunch of other stuff. Asked how much - the guy said $20, said I would be back later as it weighs about 25 lb.
You just never know what you will run into. The antique shows are OK but everyone thinks their stuff is priceless and the prices reflect it. The car swaps guys are cleaning out the garage or taking a buds stuff to sell just to get rid of it.
By the way the Ransom rest cleaned up great, and looking at Midway it sells for over $600! TF
