If I'm not mistaken, my Airweight 637 does the same thing. If it is a "soft" rattle you are fine. If it sounds like a piece is sliding around, I'd have it checked.
Normal, just the hammer block which is a fairly loose sliding part. Common noise to most S&W revolvers except enclosed hammer models (640, 642 etc.) which do not have a hammer block.
