Super Blackhawk Front Sight

Painted the front sight on my Super Blackhawk today with Honda Super White patch paint from Napa.. very happy with how it came out!!

That looks good. Painting the front sight sure helps me pick it up better. I chose a different color for my SBH, I used Tequilla Sunrise fingernail polish from my wifes medicine cabinet. It matches the orange color that was on my S&W model 13 when I bought it.

I usually take the sights off, faster to get out of the holster. Start short and work your way out, nothing better than learning instinct shooting.

My SA guns were always woods guns so they got carried lots in a holster, and as a result the front sight was always polished bright. I hated that as the sun then glinted off it. I painted then black. Often.

Finished the second coat, wanted some white behind it so it wouldn't turn out too dark.
