stocks Iver Johnson M1 carbine

I recently purchased an Iver Johnson D-Day Commemorative M1 carbine. I would like to get a new stock so I do not damage the engraved one that came with the gun.

Will any M1 stock work with this gun? I have heard some people say the Iver Johnson's are milspec and others say they are not.
Chraper than dirt has a synthethic stock, but that state it does not fit IJ's, only mil-spec.

I would like a new synthethic one, but I would be open to any replacement stock.

i have an iver johnson and a original usgi walnut stock fit mine.my gun is mil spec.if youre not sure,get a birch stock,you can always easily relieve some with sandpaper should it fit too snug.
