Springfield XD 5 inch Compact or 5 inch Tactical

Going to Cabela's employee pricing special event in 2 hours 7 minutes - pros and cons between the XD compact and tactical in 45 (has to be a 5 incher).

Curious....what they were priced at when you were there. I am going to be purchasing one soon and wanted to get a baseline for potentially negotiating the price.

My 45 cal XD witha 4" barrel is a peach. I paid $400 used with box and stuff.

Capacity versus concealability.

The full sized grip will hold a longer magazine than the compact grip. The compact grip will conceal better and will still take the longer mags, but the grip will feel "weird" with a long magazine in there unless you get the polymer lower sleeve that fits around the mag base, simulating an extended grip.

Range toy only? full size.

Something you might actually carry? compact.
